Techpak Flow Controls was conceived in January 2016 with a small dedicated crew in Manufacturing of valves, Valve Service, Valve Leak Testing.

Valve Pressure Testing and actuation work on valves has always been core of our business.

Basic Valve Maintenance Inspection Points

  • Inject appropriate new valve stem packing and pack off to correct pressure
  • Inject appropriate grease into valve seats
  • Remove stem cover and apply lubrication to the stem threads
  • Inject grease into the gear box bearing fitting
  • Stroke valve (if allowed) to insure smooth operation
  • Visually inspect valve and fittings for damage and leakage
  • Record serial number, date, time, location, type of maintenance performed and any findings
  • Inject appropriate grease into stem seal fittings
  • Inject appropriate grease into valve seat fittings
  • Inject appropriate grease into gear box bearing fittings
  • Stroke valve (if allowed) to insure smooth operation
  • Visually inspect valve and fittings for damage and leakage
  • Record serial number, date, time, location, type of maintenance performed and any findings
  • Verify smooth flow and confirm no slamming of clapper
  • Inject grease into external hinge pin access grease fitting
  • Visually inspect valve and fittings for damage and leakage
  • Record serial number, date, time, location, type of maintenance performed and any findings
  • Verify for smooth flow and confirm piston is not slamming or chattering
  • Visually inspect valve and fittings for damage and leakage
  • Record serial number, date, time, location, type of maintenance performed and any findings
  • Inject appropriate plug valve sealant/lubricant into plug
  • If valve is gear operated, inject appropriate grease into the gear stem bearing fitting
  • Stroke the valve (if allowed) to insure smooth operation
  • Visually inspect valve and fittings for damage and leakage
  • Record serial number, date, time, location, type of maintenance performed and any findings
  • Inject and clean stem threads
  • Inspect and adjust stem packing
  • Stroke the valve (if allowed) to insure smooth operation
